Day's of Rain

Dew the next Morning -

Aya's voice boomed down the hall, not a word missing Nate's ears. Her goal had been reached as twin rows of books came crashing down, filling the hall.

“Problem Nate?” she said, stepping around the corner. He glanced up from the job ahead of him,

“Guess not...”

“Good! That means your not busy then right?”, she said, her eyes closed, smiling, arms behind her back and leaning forward. Nate let out a long sigh, keeping it under his breath, then glanced down again. Another idea huh? Hmph, won't really have time to get these to a closet or out of the way with her around I guess... Thinking of a way to delay her would take to long though now wouldn't it, he thought, and he was right, judging by the way her face and gone into a sullen look and her body sprawled out on the floor, chest down.

“Bored already?” he asked in and unsatisfied way.

“Mh~m..,” she murmured. Her way of agreeing recently, which although he used to have the same habit, her doing it seemed to annoy him. “why didn't you jump to attention....” she said, following suit with Nate's expression.

“Why should I...,” he murmured, once again under his breath, “it's not like you actually care that I come, you just like the idea of it...”

“Well, how bout we clean up this mess then, huh!?” Aya said, tilting her head and smiling again.

“Oh?” Nate said rhetorically, raising his eyebrows in disbelief, as well as assurance on her following words.

“Mh~m,” she maundered, “ and then, after the guilt has beguiled you to no end, and you feel as if your whole existence is so worthless...”

“Yes?” he said, playing her on.

“I will offer you salvation of course!” she said, hands on his shoulders, shacking him violently, smile still etched in her face.

“So my choices are..?” Nate followed on.

“None of course.” Aya replied, her voice still as flat out happy as before.
