Early Mornings - Part I

The words, "Trampoline..", could be heard as a twelve o'clock shadow of a leaping demon soared into Nate's view.
"Bou~unce!" were the last words he heard before his knees buckled. "Yatta!" was what he heard after though, as his body flew forward, reaching out and catching himself with his hands, but slipping under the weight. "Yoh!" Aya said, from atop his back.
"Mh~~~m..." he said, slightly dazed. Her usual approach, he thought to himself, especially when she wanted something. Without the books, he thought, maybe once if he didn't have the books, he wouldn't always be in this position.
"So how this time?" said Nate, opening his eyes and finding her upside down face right against his, eyes closed smiling. 'Course, she never did bother him when he wasn't reading or without books.
"Hm~m?" replied Aya, confused yet joyful at the same time.
"Ugh," he muttered as he pushed him self onto his knees in the plank position, Aya still cross-legged upon his back. "How you managed to get 3 feet above my head..." Though she had only moved here near 3 weeks ago, he already felt he could expect her boredom to strike. Last time she had waited up in the ceiling, hanging from the banisters, falling down and landing upon his shoulders. His neck still ached from that day.
"You mean...that?" she said, pointing behind her, not bothering to look. Looking to the side and back, all he could do was stare and droop his eyes. There, crouched, was Aya's lackey. Year 10, Emiko Yoru, pulling a 2 meter wide circular trampoline, hands stretched out backwards, pulling like a duck.
"Why must you sanction this!!!" Nate yelled back, "Once, just once, I'd like to see you say no to this brat..." Nate finished, mumbling his last few words, lowering his head. At the same time, a fist came crashing down, smashing Nate's head to the ground, a knuckle twisting back and forth.
"Ah... youth, such a waste..." Aya said, still wrenching her hand into his head, standing up spread-eagle now.
"Eh~toh...." stuttered Emiko, now standing with her back to Nate and Aya, tracing her finger on the wall.
Aya slackened her grip from rubbing his face in the hallway floor and torquing her upper body back, still standing spread-eagle hand pushing down on Nate's head locked onto Emiko's back. "Hm~~~m?"
"Well...um... aren't you... aren't you in Nate-sempai's year as well?" Her last few words were inaudible to Nate's ears, but apparently Aya's were specially tuned.
"Emiko, life lesson #17!" Hands shooting up, her arms held in a "Work Hard or Die" position, as Emiko copied. "One's birth year has nothing to do in comparing someone. Their wisdom and importance are all that matters, and me as your village's benevolent founder and leader to be compared to a simple grunt is disrespectful! Especially to one..." Aya spoke, as her heal smashed down into Nate's awestruck face, staring straight up, "who's mind is too simple to think of the consequences!" With that, Aya raised her foot, revealing a bright red rectangle shaped scar between his eyes and a passed out boy beneath her.
